Princess Madeleine of Sweden just shared a rare photo of her son, Prince Nicolas, who’s growing up way too fast.
Earlier today, the royal posted a never-before-seen picture on her official Instagram account in honor of Nicolas’s sixth birthday.

In the photo, Nicolas is resting his head on the steering wheel of what appears to be a golf cart. He appears to be taking after his father, with light brown hair, inviting eyes and a cheeky smile.
Princess Madeleine captioned the post, “Happy Birthday, dear Nicolas! We love you to the moon and back. Keep on truckin’!”
Prince Nicolas is the only son of Princess Madeleine and her husband, Christopher O’Neill. His mom (AKA the Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland) is the youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, making Nicolas tenth in line to the Swedish throne behind his older sister, Princess Leonore (7).
Prince Nicolas was born in Stockholm back in 2015. His arrival was somewhat chaotic, since it nearly interfered with the wedding of Princess Madeleine’s brother, Prince Carl Philip. His mom later told the Swedish magazine Mama that she was having contractions during the ceremony. Nicolas was born two days later.
In addition to Nicolas and Leonore, Princess Madeleine is also a mom to Princess Adrienne (3). As of 2018, the family currently resides in Florida.
