Just a few months after we got our first-look photo of Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana in a new film titled Spencer, we’re been gifted with a second image and it made us do a serious double take.
On Thursday, producers of the film released the second image of the Twilight star, only this time, instead of the actress looking off into the distance, she is staring right into the camera while dressed in a white turtleneck and colorful knit blazer.
According to a press release, the film has officially moved from Germany to the U.K. for the “final stretch of filming.” While Spencer takes a look into the life of Lady Di, it will specifically focus on one Christmas weekend spent with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. It’s also the weekend she decides to end her marriage to Prince Charles.
The movie’s official synopsis reads: “December 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham Estate. There's eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different.”
It has also been announced that Jack Farthing (Poldark) is taking on the role of Prince Charles. Directed by Pablo Larraín (Jackie) with writer Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders), the film also stars Timothy Spall (Mr. Turner), Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water) and Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible).
