Here’s How Idris Elba Became the DJ for Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Wedding (No Big Deal)

Idris Elba is a busy guy. Not only is he a successful actor and soon-to-be husband, but the 46-year-old also works as a DJ on the side. No, not like the guy who DJ’d at your cousin’s bar mitzvah. He does royal weddings.

Elba made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday to discuss his new Netflix series, Turn Up Charlie, and his proposal to his fiancee, Sabrina Dhowre. During the interview he also opened up about one of his biggest DJ gigs ever: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding.

“So Harry and I have hung out a couple of times through his dad’s charity—The Prince’s Trust—which really helped me out as a young actor,” Elba told DeGeneres. “So I do a lot of work with them. I met Harry and William a few times, and Harry came to a couple of parties that I DJed, and he was like, ‘Hey, man, what are you doing on [May 19]? Would you DJ at my wedding?’”

Casual. Elba went on to explain that he thought it was a joke (wouldn’t we all), but nope, Harry was serious. His next big gig? Coachella. Still cool, but definitely no royal wedding.

Hey, Idris, can we get a copy of that setlist?
