Check Out the First Glimpse of Amanda Seyfried as Elizabeth Holmes in New Hulu Series

We love a good Hollywood transformation, whether it's Lily James becoming Pamela Anderson or Kristen Stewart morphing into Princess Diana.

Now, the latest example of movie magic (and good casting) has been revealed with the first photos from a new Hulu limited series titled The Dropout. The show maps the rise and fall of former businesswoman Elizabeth Holmes, whose health tech company, Theranos, falsely claimed to conduct blood tests using very small samples of blood.

In the series, Holmes will be portrayed by Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia!, The Vow), and just yesterday, the first images of Seyfried playing the role were unveiled to the public. While the spot was originally given to Kate McKinnon, we've gotta say—we can't get over how much Seyfried looks like the former tech tycoon.

In Hulu's official synopsis for The Dropout, they say: “Money. Romance. Tragedy. Deception...the story of Elizabeth Holmes (Amanda Seyfried) and Theranos is an unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly wrong. How did the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire lose it all in the blink of an eye?”

The show is based off of a podcast of the same name that was hosted by ABC News correspondent Rebecca Jarvis. Jarvis will serve as an executive producer on the limited series, along with Elizabeth Meriwether, Liz Heldens, Liz Hannah, Katherine Pope, Victoria Thompson and Taylor Dunn.

Alongside Seyfried, Lost actor Naveen Andrews portrays Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani, who served as the president and chief operating officer at Theranos and was also the boyfriend of Holmes.

Besides Seyfried and Andrews, The Dropout will feature other major stars like William H. Macy, Laurie Metcalf, Elizabeth Marvel, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Kate Burton, Stephen Fry and more.

The Dropout premieres on Hulu on March 3, 2022. We will definitely be tuning in to see Seyfried take on this massive role.
