Normally, your kids would go down to the local park and spend Easter morning running around with their friends collecting as many eggs as they could find. Or you would drive over to grandma's house where she had hidden treats all around the house for your kids to discover. But this year, things are going to be a little different. Coronavirus has upended all of our lives, including our Easter plans. And your kids are totally bummed out about it.

But here's some good news: There's a fun (and social distancing-approved) way for kids to celebrate the holiday, and it's super easy to pull off.

Here's what to do: Walk or drive to your kid's friend's house and hide a dozen or so Easter eggs (fill 'em with candy or opt for colorful ones—the choice is yours) in their front yard. (A stoop or driveway could work, too—just make sure you're following the rules of social distancing.) Then, put a note in their mailbox or tape it to their door saying, "You've been egged! We hid 12 Easter eggs in your front yard. Enjoy the hunt!" Make sure they don't catch you in the act (and also wear face masks and gloves—check CDC guidelines for more info).

When the kids see your note, they'll have so much fun trying to find the eggs that you hid for them. Not to mention how much they'll enjoy helping mom or dad return the favor by hiding eggs in their friends' front yards and writing a note of their own.

A fun—and safe—way to celebrate the holiday and keep little hands occupied? Eggs-ellent.
