If you were excited when the Westworld season two trailer and premiere date dropped, you may want to sit down, because the show’s veritable Pandora’s box just opened.
See, fans with truly impressive eyesight noticed a tiny on-screen binary code that appeared 33 seconds into Westworld’s Super Bowl commercial...and they started doing some digging.
Lo and behold, the code led to a website for Delos Destinations, which appears to be the fictitious (we assume...but are the robots watching?!) parent company to none other than the Westworld adventure park.
Why is this revelatory, you might ask? Well, upon perusing the site’s “experience” page, five worlds are listed in addition to the Western one we’ve come to fear. The images for these other worlds are intentionally glitchy, so while we can’t tell what they are, they’re exciting nonetheless.
Perhaps this explains the samurais in the Super Bowl trailer?
Guess we’ll have to wait and find out what worlds lie beyond Westworld when season two premieres on HBO on Sunday, April 22, at 9 p.m.
