Usher Channels Prince in 2020 Grammys Tribute Performance

A special tribute performance from Usher honoring Prince took place at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles tonight.

The 41-year-old was joined by iconic drummer Sheila E. and singer FKA Twigs to pay homage to Prince with a medley of the Minnesota legend’s biggest hits.

Performing as a singing, dancing and instrumental trio, Usher led the tribute singing his rendition of “Little Red Corvette,” before moving on to a medley including “When Doves Cry” and “Touch.”

Not to mention, Twigs performed a gravity-defying pole routine, then joined Usher for a dance duet that was pretty impressive.

The Prince tribute is just a teaser for the Let's Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince concert scheduled for next Tuesday night (January 28) on CBS. That performance features a larger roster of entertainers, including 2020 Grammys host Alicia Keys, St. Vincent, Foo Fighters, Beck, Chris Martin, Mavis Staples, H.E.R., Earth, Wind & Fire, Gary Clark Jr. and more.

That wasn't the only tribute at tonight's event so far. Host Alicia Keys was also joined by Boyz II Men in honor of the late Kobe Bryant.
