UberBOATS Is Real, and You Can Now Hop Along the Croatian Coast

Great news: You don’t have to be a zillionaire scion to hire a private boat at the snap of your fingers. Ride-sharing app Uber has taken care of that with UberBOAT, originally offering a sea vessel option in Istanbul and Miami. And now, it’s happening in Croatia.

Croatia is already a hot spot for island-hopping travelers (especially since Game of Thrones filmed in Dubrovnik, and more recently, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again shot on Vis). But now travelers can explore the Dalmatian Coast even more easily with UberBOAT transfers between the popular waterfront cities of Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik, as  as well as their neighboring islands.

Opt for a transfer via speedboat between the mainland and a nearby island like Vis or Brač for around €350, or hire your own personal boat for a custom journey (the price varies based on the duration and number of stops). Bring up to eight passengers, who can conveniently split the fare in the Uber app, and the captain will provide the life jackets and water bottles.

You can even bring along a portable speaker to make ABBA the soundtrack to your journey to Vis’s white-sand beaches…or the Game of Thrones theme song if you want something a little less cheery.
