Hear ye! Hear ye! There’s a new Prince Philip in town, and he’s already got the whole royal thing on lock.

British actor Tobias Menzies is officially set to take over the role of Prince Philip from Matt Smith for seasons three and four of The Crown.

If the new Prince Phil looks familiar, that’s because Menzies has had a long career playing royals. He starred as Brutus in HBO’s Rome and Lord Edmure Tully in Game of Thrones. Menzies also starred in dual roles in Outlander as Frank Randall and Black Jack Randall. Most recently, he played the Duke of Cornwall in BBC’s King Lear and also stars in the AMC series The Terror.

Before Menzies inked his Crown deal with Netflix, Paul Bettany was a major contender for the role but fell out due to prior scheduling obligations.

Menzies will star alongside Olivia Colman (Queen Elizabeth II) and Helena Bonham Carter (Princess Margaret), Claire Foy and Vanessa Kirby’s respective replacements.

Season three of The Crown is set to drop on Netflix at sometime in 2019.
