‘This Is Us’ Was Shut Out of the 2019 Golden Globes & Were Not OK

ICYMI: The nominees for the 2019 Golden Globes were recently announced. After perusing the list multiple times (you know, just in case), we couldn’t help but notice a major player is MIA: This Is Us.

For the first time since its inception in 2016, the NBC series was shut out of the Golden Globes with zero nominations. (Um, how could you?!)

Based on previous years, the news is a huge surprise to many fans. In 2017, the show was honored with three Golden Globe nominations: Drama TV Series, Supporting Actress in a Series (Mandy Moore) and Supporting Actress in a Series (Chrissy Metz). Same goes for 2018: Drama TV Series, Actor in a Drama TV Series (Sterling K. Brown) and Supporting Actress in a Series (Chrissy Metz).

So, why was This Is Us shut out of the Golden Globes? The answer is unclear, but we could really use one of Jack’s famous pep talks right about now.
