Last Night’s ‘Masked Singer’ Elimination Was One of the Biggest Twists to Date

*Warning: spoilers ahead*

Last night’s episode of The Masked Singer was one for the books. Not only did we get to watch group B return to the stage to battle for a spot in the show’s Super Eight, but an unexpected wildcard joined the competition and was ultimately unmasked as someone we never would have expected.

During the show, Black Swan, Chameleon, Crab and Piglet all took the stage for a chance to move on to the next week’s round. After their performances, guest host Niecy Nash (who has been filling in for Nick Cannon while he recovers from COVID-19) introduced the wildcard, Bulldog, to the judges. He performed an impressive rendition of New Edition's “Candy Girl.”

“I'm one hot dog, technically the sexiest dog alive, people,” Bulldog revealed in his clue package. “But don't be fooled by all of the beefs, I'm a big softie inside.”

As per usual, the show's judging panel, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke, did their best to guess who was under the mask. Their guesses included Eddie Murphy, Andy Samberg, Chris Rock and Chris Tucker.

As opposed to other episodes, Nash revealed that this time, she would be picking who was eliminated from the episode: Bulldog. Viewers and the judges were shocked to see that under the mask was none other than Nick Cannon! Yup, he’s back and he’ll be returning to host next week. How sneaky.

So, while we’ll miss Niecy, we’re glad to see Nick back and healthier than ever.
