Taylor Swift Makes a ‘Generous’ Donation to Mariska Hargitay’s Joyful Heart Foundation
Following the favorable ruling of her groping countersuit against former DJ David Mueller, Taylor Swift stayed true to her word and made a sizable donation to Mariska Hargitay's Joyful Heart Foundation yesterday.
The “Bad Blood” singer said in a court statement she planned to make donations to “multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.” Maile M. Zambuto, chief executive of Joyful Heart, confirmed today that T Swift indeed made an “extremely generous” contribution to the sexual assault organization. Zambuto didn't reveal the exact amount of the gift (keeping it classy), but said Swift's donation will do wonders for the “movement to end sexual violence.” Tay Tay for the win!
Hargitay took to Twitter to express her appreciation this morning. She wrote, “For sharing your story, your resources, your time, your voice: [Taylor Swift] you are a force. #Grateful for you” and retweeted a message posted from Joyful Heart’s Twitter page.
Long live the beauty of the Taylor Swift and Olivia Benson relationship and their touching benevolence.
