Tanner Tolbert & Jade Roper ‘Accidentally’ Welcome Baby No. 2 in Their Master Closet

Last night’s conclusion to Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette wasn’t the only dramatic thing to happen to Bachelor Nation. In fact, Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper “accidentally” welcomed their second child in the master closet of their house.

That’s right, the 32-year-old mom gave birth to the couple’s second child yesterday. Although the baby boy weighed a healthy 7 pounds, 9 ounces, his birth didn’t go quite as planned. Unlike her first pregnancy with baby Emmy, Roper didn’t make it out of their Southern California home in time.

The BiP star discussed her home birth experience on her personal Instagram account, thanking her husband and the first responders for jumping into action.

Roper wrote, “I accidentally gave birth at home last night, in our master closet. I’ve been still processing the shock of this all, as this was not all at what I had planned, but I am so so thankful for each person who helped bring our son into the world safely.”

She went on to explain the circumstances, adding, “I’ll share my whole birth story soon, but long story short, my waters broke and 75 minutes later I gave birth to our healthy baby boy while clutching a bench in our closet. It was one of the scariest moments of my life because I felt so out of control, but Tanner, Tanner’s mom, my mom and the medics and firefighters kept me going when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby.”

Roper concluded the post with an honest statement about social media, saying, “I was going to share the happy, cute Instagrammable pics first, but this felt right to me.”

Oh, and how could we forget about Chris Harrison, who wrote a fitting comment: “Now that’s the most dramatic delivery ever.”

Dramatic indeed.
