We’d like to shout out to Netflix. Why? Because they’re gifting us with more Tan France than we know what to do with. In addition to Queer Eye, the fashion expert has a new show, co-starring British model/fashion icon/designer Alexa Chung. And it's coming to a screen near you later this year.

It’s called Next in Fashion and it’s a reality show that pits 18 designers from around the world against each other as they compete for a $250,000 prize, not to mention an opportunity to debut their launch collection with luxury fashion retailer Net-a-Porter. (Pretty cool.)

PureWow had the chance to chat with France exclusively about his new project while he was in New York City to partner with Men’s Wearhouse on their month-long Suit Drive to collect professional attire for unemployed men and women re-entering the workforce.

“The show is so different from other fashion competition shows because, first and foremost, Alexa and I aren't like other hosts,” he says. And by that, France means there's no drama—certainly no fighting, screaming or crying. "We’re bringing levity and a tone that’s comparable to a show like The Great British Bake Off,” he added.

France and Chung's goal was to create a show that makes you feel good about yourself, the designers and their incredible creations. That's certainly something we can get behind.

As for how France feels about partnering with Chung? “I love Alexa. It’s hard when you’re in your 30s to make new friends. I managed to find four of my closest friends on Queer Eye and I thought, ‘OK, that’s an anomaly. That’s never going to happen again.’ But that’s not the case with Alexa. She could be part of the Fab Five.”

France adds that the two of them also bring two very different sets of skills to the co-hosting job. “Alexa brings 16 years of experience as an actual host—a live host. I bring the play, the sass—I bring the Tan.”

We. Can’t. Wait.
