Umm, Kristen Stewart Actually Seems Pretty Fantastic as Princess Diana in the Brand-New ‘Spencer’ Trailer

It’s official: Kristen Stewart is drumming up Oscar buzz for playing Princess Diana in Spencer.

Elevation Pictures just dropped the first full-length trailer for the highly anticipated movie, which will hit theaters on November 5.

The trailer offers a detailed glimpse at Princess Diana’s life, which was filled with overwhelming schedules and rules. “Stand very still and smile a lot,” someone says. Another adds, “Diana, they can’t change. You have to change.”

In the teaser, even Diana’s children are taking notice of their mom’s stoic nature. “Mommy, what happened to make you so sad?” Prince William says.

The clip concludes with Princess Diana saying, “Will they kill me, do you think?”

Spencer takes place in the ’90s, right when Princess Diana realizes that her marriage to Prince Charles is headed for divorce. Since the story spans only three days, it highlights her heartbreaking decision to walk away from a future as queen consort.

Although it is based on true events, the movie is a fictionalized account of what could have taken place during that time. “Spencer is an imagining of what might have happened during those few fateful days,” the official synopsis reads.

The full-length trailer comes just a few weeks after the Spencer movie poster and the first teaser were released to the public. The photo shows Princess Diana crouched down in a stunning white gown, while the clip offers a sneak peek at what’s to come.

Let the countdown to November 5 begin.
