Sophie, Countess of Wessex Was in Full-on Parenting Mode at Her Recent Royal Outing

Sophie, Countess of Wessex visited the Charlbury community center in Oxfordshire, U.K., earlier this week to learn about their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic. While there, the royal was greeted by a group of preschool students. And, that’s when we saw the mother of two enter full-on parent mode.

The photo below shows the 56-year-old royal bending down to embrace a small child standing outside of the community center. The snapshot was posted to the official Instagram account dedicated to the royal family. It’s no surprise that Sophie entered parenting mode so easily, being that she is the mother of Lady Louise Windsor, 18 and James, Viscount Severn, 14.

“There were some lovely hugs to welcome The Countess of Wessex to Charlbury in Oxfordshire yesterday,” the caption read. “Her Royal Highness was in the town to see how the community came together in response to the pandemic, with a team of over 200 volunteers working to support the most vulnerable residents.”

Sophie is not the only royal to show off her top-notch parenting skills. Just last week, Prince William and Kate Middleton visited St. John's Primary School in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined a Roots of Empathy session for the children. In a series of photos that were later shared on the couple’s Instagram page, Middleton is shown sitting cross-legged among the students in the session.

In another photo, we can see William borrowing his wife’s go-to parenting move when talking to the children. The duke is bending down at eye level to talk to a group of children. As you parents know, this method creates open communication and levels the playing field.

Keep these parenting moments coming!
