Pickle Juice Slushies Are Officially a Thing (and They Actually Sound Kind of Good)

In our humble opinion, there’s nothing quite like the briny goodness of a crisp, fresh pickle. That’s why we’re shamelessly intrigued by the latest in beverage news: Pickle-flavored slushies are coming to Sonic this summer.

Before you roll your eyes too hard, don’t forget that pickle juice is already a pretty popular flavoring, used in everything from cocktails and shots to sports drinks and kombucha.

The drive-in restaurant’s frozen version is a sweet and tangy bright-green slush flavored with a pickle juice syrup. And according to taste testers at Food & Wine, the slush is “surprisingly delicious.” We’d try it. (Just saying.)

FYI, for the most serious of pickle eaters, you’ll be able to add the syrup to any menu item you want (milkshakes...french fries...stop us, please).

The slush will be available at Sonic restaurants nationwide this June. See you there?
