Selena Gomez Fires Back at Body Shamers in Candid New Video

Listen up, folks, because Selena Gomez has an important message for body shamers.

On Sunday, the Only Murders in the Building star, 29, posted a series of now-deleted videos on TikTok, where she candidly addressed her haters. Gomez revealed that she’s tired of reading negative comments about her fluctuating weight and explained that the only person she cares to impress is herself. All we have to say is…yaaasss!

“So, I be trying to stay skinny, but I went to Jack in the Box and I got four tacos, three egg rolls, onion rings and a spicy chicken sandwich,” she said in one clip (screenshot above). “But honestly, I don’t care about my weight because people b**** about it anyway.”

Gomez proceeded to share examples of the comments she receives, adding, “You’re too small. You’re too big. That doesn’t fit. Meh meh meh meh.”

“B****, I am perfect the way I am,” she continued. And then added a figurative mic drop: “Moral of the story? Bye.”

This isn’t the first time Gomez has called out internet trolls. Last year, she sat down for an interview with WWD and explained how social media impacts her mental health—so much so that she had temporarily deleted the Instagram app from her phone.

“That’s a huge, significant part of why I feel like I’ve been as healthy as I have been,” she said. “I’m completely unaware of, actually, what’s going on in pop culture, and that makes me really happy. And maybe that doesn’t make everybody else happy, but for me, it’s really saved my life.”

Well said, Selena.
