Ryan Reynolds Made a Loving Birthday Post for Blake Lively (with a Cheeky Caption, of Course)

We always live for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds's social media interactions, and as the Gossip Girl actress celebrated her 35th birthday this past Thursday, we excitedly awaited Reynolds's post for his wife. And he did not disappoint.

True to form, the Deadpool actor shared a post that was equal parts sweet and funny, as he uploaded a number of shots from his time with Lively. “Happy Birthday, @blakelively. You’re spectacular,” he wrote. “I’m not sure if you were born or invented. Also, thank you for urging me to leave the house every now and again.”

Reynolds's slideshow started out with a number of selfies, with the first being snapped when the two hosted the most recent Met Gala. This was followed by pics of the couple out to dinner and more.

Reynolds also included a few solo shots of Lively, highlighting her Statue of Liberty-themed Met Gala dress. In one comical shot, the Simple Favor star is seen laying down on the couch with what appears to be pieces of kale placed on her face.

Fellow celebs sent their birthday wishes to Lively, like Josh Gad, who said, “Happy birthday!!!” Lively's sister popped in the comments and joked, “I always said lettuce green was her color. She never listened to me.” Meanwhile, Lively herself showed her appreciation for the post, commenting a smiley face and writing, “♥️ my guy.”

We've come to expect some laughs whenever Reynolds posts on social media. Last August, the actor posted a photo of him and Lively from the Free Guy red carpet, and in his caption he said, “What a huge night for #FreeGuy. And what a huge night for @blakelively because this means we’re Instagram official. I know how important that was to her.”

We can never get enough of this couple. Happy belated birthday, Blake!
