Reese Witherspoon Just Teased Her Son Deacon on IG & He Was *Not* Having It

Just because his mother is Reese Witherspoon doesn’t mean Deacon Phillippe is immune to cheesy mom jokes.

On Monday, the Big Little Lies star shared a slideshow on her personal Instagram account, featuring herself and her youngest child, Tennessee Toth, making a fort out of blankets in the living room. In the first pic, we see the mother-son-duo are laying underneath the manmade structure, while the second is a video featuring Tenessee jumping over the fort while Witherspoon lays below it. “My kind of #Fortnite... Hahaha! Get it @deaconphillippe?” she captioned the sweet post.

And it wasn’t long before the 16-year-old son of the Walk the Line actress and Ryan Phillippe responded to his mom’s witty commentary, and he did not seem impressed. “No,” he wrote alongside an unamused emoji.

While it may not seem like it from this interaction (which was obviously all in good fun), the 44-year-old actress and her teenage son have an incredibly close relationship and support each other on all of their endeavors. In fact, back in July, Witherspoon shared how proud she was of her son for releasing his first single (yes, you read that correctly), “Long Run” featuring fellow artist Nina Nesbitt.

“New Song of the Summer! #LongRun So proud of my son @deaconphillippe... his first single with the incredibly talented @ninanesbitt is out now!” she captioned a post on her personal Instagram account. “It’s the perfect summer bop with a sick beat and dope drops (is that what the kids say?!) check it out!”

Now, if only we can get a group shot of the entire family in the fort...
