These brand-new photos prove that Reese Witherspoon’s son, Deacon, is looking more like his dad, Ryan Phillippe, by the day.
Over the weekend, Deacon shared a slideshow of pictures on his personal Instagram account, featuring snapshots from his high school prom. Although there’s only one pic of Deacon and his dad, the resemblance between the two is uncanny.
In the photos, Deacon is wearing a tailored suit, consisting of a charcoal jacket, dress pants and a white button-down shirt. The 18-year-old accessorized his formal ensemble with a bright pink flower pinned to his lapel. In the third pic, Deacon is standing next to his dad, Ryan (on the left). Upon closer inspection, there’s no denying the resemblance between the father-son duo, who have the same cheeky smile.
The caption read, “Prom anyone?”
His family and friends filled the comments section with well wishes. “Love the [flower emoji] [smiling face emoji],” Witherspoon wrote. Deacon’s sister, Ava, chimed in: “Looking sharp!” Another person wrote, “Kid cleans up nice.” Someone added, “Awww the baby is all grown up.”
Witherspoon re-posted the solo shot of Deacon on her personal Instagram account and wrote, “Love this guy @deaconphillippe [heart emoji].”
Ryan also celebrated the special occasion on social media. The Cruel Intentions star re-shared the father-son picture on his Instagram Story and wrote, “Sending our sweet meat boi off 2 prom.”
They grow up so fast.
