Reese Witherspoon Joins Elizabeth Arden’s Surprisingly Rich History of Gender Equality with a Limited-Edition Lipstick
Of her new lip shade, Witherspoon (aka the brand’s storyteller-in-chief) said, “With March On, Elizabeth Arden gives the power of red lipstick a whole new meaning. Not only does it symbolize feminine power and solidarity, but it will also contribute to creating a world where gender equality can become a reality.”
All proceeds from the $26.50 lip color will go toward UN Women, an organization fighting for gender equality across the globe. The beauty brand has also pledged an astounding $1 million to the cause.
Elizabeth Arden’s feminist support goes back to 1912, when the brand supplied suffragettes marching on New York’s Fifth Avenue with red lipstick to wear while marching to symbolize power.
Now this is a color that’ll look good on anyone.
