Rachel Brosnahan and her husband, Jason Ralph, experienced a wardrobe malfunction during the 2020 Golden Globes. But thankfully, an unsuspecting celeb stepped in to help: Rami Malek.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress, 29, appeared on yesterday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where she discussed the near-fashion-disaster on the red carpet.
It all began when Brosnahan and her husband ran into Malek while waiting to be photographed. The Bohemian Rhapsody star pointed out that Ralph’s bowtie was crooked and offered to help.
She said, “[We] went to fix it and we realized that this clip-on bow tie—because they are easier—had completely fallen apart, and we were like, ‘Oh, no! We’re inches from having our photos taken. What are we gonna do? This is a major crisis.’”
Brosnahan admitted that it felt like an emergency in the moment. Look backing, the actress can’t help but laugh thinking about all the people that chipped in to help.
“All of these famous people are on the floor looking for the clip that’s gone missing,” she added. “Amy [Poehler] was on the floor. Rami was on the floor. You know, like, people say that celebrities are mean. That Hollywood’s, like, kind of a toxic place. We felt very supported.”
Luckily, Malek found the clip and saved the day. Brosnahan continued, “Rami finds it and goes, ‘Guys, I’ve got this.’ And he did!”
