Prince Harry is no stranger to humanitarian efforts. Just last month, he helped open a dining hall at a children's center in Lesotho, Africa, on behalf of the Sentebale charity and today, he is at an AIDS conference in Amsterdam.
Following in his mum's footsteps, Prince Harry joined Sir Elton John on stage to announce a new coalition called MenStar, which is aimed at expanding the education around HIV/AIDS and ending the epidemic by 2030.
"Inspired by the growing alarm at the rate of new HIV infections among young women, the MenStar coalition is bravely tackling the root cause of this problem—the lack of awareness of HIV prevention amongst hard-to-reach young men," Prince Harry said in a speech during the session, according to E! News. The Elton John AIDS Foundation helped found the coalition.
Princess Diana, who was close friends with John and also an advocate for AIDS awareness, helped diminish the stigma around the disease through her charitable work in the 1980s.
Can you feel the love (and warm fuzzies) tonight? Because we most definitely can.
