Nothing makes us LOL (and swoon) more than seeing Princess Charlotte’s teeny tiny royal hand give a wave. But, this weekend, at Queen Eliz’s Trooping the Colour ceremony, it was a different pint-size royal who captivated our hearts.
We actually held our breath when we saw Prince George’s second cousin Savannah Phillips clap her hand over his mouth with a hint of exasperation. Little George appeared to be distracting her from the pomp and circumstance of everyone singing ”God Save the Queen” on the royal balcony at Buckingham Palace, and Savannah wasn’t having it. (Would mom Kate Middleton intervene? Would Char start to laugh?)
Instead, the annual appearance went on as usual—but now the world has Savannah to thank for the best royal meme in recent memory.
Funnily enough, this isn’t actually the first time a royal tot has ”shushed” a cousin on the balcony. Prince Harry famously did the exact same thing to 2-year-old Princess Beatrice approximately 30 years ago and the internet has resurfaced a clip of that, too. (What a time to be alive.)
