Our hearts officially exploded over the weekend from cuteness overload (and, no, we’re not talking about Prince Harry’s sweet words to Meghan Markle at the altar…although, that, too). New mama Chrissy Teigen shared pictures and the name of her and John Legend’s newborn baby boy, whose birth was announced via tweet (classic Chrissy!) early Thursday morning, and we caught a serious case of baby fever.
Teigen posted the adorable Insta on Sunday of the baby boy with the caption: “Hello, world! This is Miles Theodore Stephens - We are drowning in his little peeps and nuzzles. Our household feels overwhelmed with love. Thank you for all your well wishes!”
Turns out there’s a deeper meaning to both their son and daughter Luna’s names, which Legend revealed on the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards this weekend. Miles and Luna are actually both named after musical icons: Miles from Miles Davis, the acclaimed jazz trumpeter and composer, and Luna Simone after Nina Simone, the famed jazz, blues and folk singer/musician.
As for Theodore, Legend said he and Teigen both just really liked the name, while Stephens is Legend’s real surname.
Miles and Luna, you’ve got some legendary shoes to fill. (Sorry, had to.)
