Meghan Markle Basically Wore a Black Version of Her Wedding Dress, but Left Off *This* Important Accessory
The duchess’s mindset of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” is on full display yet again. After wearing Givenchy three times recently (her wedding, her first solo outing with the queen and at the Royal Ascot races), she’s basically gone and reworn her wedding dress…this time, in black. At the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force, the Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton (talk about #royalstarpower) stepped out as the fab four once again. Although Markle’s dress is Dior and not Givenchy, it mirrors her wedding gown silhouette of a boatneck with A-line skirt almost to a T (with the exception of a shorter hemline and belted waist).
Both princes wore formal military uniforms to honor the Royal Air Force. While the Duchess of Cambridge sported a pale blue Alexander McQueen coat dress with a massive diamond brooch, Markle's all-black ensemble was noticeably broochless (the only royal female not wearing a brooch at the commemorative ceremony). The Mirror points out that the pin is a gift that was presented to Middleton back in 2015. Since Markle has not been presented with the honorary gift by the Royal Air Force yet, she wasn't able to rock any sort of badge. (Although, according to Hello! Magazine, she'll probably be honored with the award soon enough since Prince Harry spent ten years in the service.)
No worries, Megs. Brooch or no brooch, you're still the most fabulous Duchess of Sussex there ever was.
