Meghan Markle Wore the Perfect Dress for Her First Solo Event with the Queen
Bury us in this cape dress, because we just died and went to Meghan Markle outfit heaven. The Duchess of Sussex, who was seen hammin' it up with new grandma Queen Elizabeth, wore the most stunning cream-colored Givenchy cape dress and Givenchy skinny black belt to her first solo outing without Prince Harry by her side.
The queen wore a Stewart Parvin dress and bright lime-green jacket (similar to the one she wore to the royal wedding) and looked to be all smiles with her new granddaughter by her side as the two took the royal train overnight to Runcorn station to attend three separate public engagements together.
This is a rare privilege for Markle, who is the first grandchild to be invited on the royal train (Harry, William and Kate never got the invite…and it’s a sleepover!). And considering that her wedding to Prince Harry was just last month, it would seem Queen Elizabeth is completely smitten with Prince Harry’s new wife.
Givenchy was also the designer for Markle’s wedding dress, and it’s probably not the last time we’ll see the duchess sporting the brand, which seems to be a Markle favorite.
Serious question: When Markle is away from London, like on her gals’ trip with the queen, does anyone guard her royal closet? Asking for a friend.
