Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Liken Their Relationship to a 32-Year ‘Marriage’ in Rare Joint Interview

Much to our dismay, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen don’t really do press. Alas, the twins put down their signature Starbucks cups and oversize grandma sweaters to speak to The Wall Street Journal about the forthcoming launch of their menswear line for The Row.

What we learned whilst reading the interview perfectly captured the Olsen twins’ unique brand of witchy woo-woo with a side of Gauloises: They liken their twinship to a lifelong marriage. (Never mind that MK is already wed to Olivier Sarkozy.)

As Ashley explained, “It’s been 32 years of learning how to communicate,” and that deep level of understanding has led the sisters’ relationship to become something like a “marriage and a partnership.”

But as with any marriage, Ashley promised they’ve “had ups and downs,” but that they still continue to “do everything together.”

Mary-Kate added, “We came out of the womb doing that.”

You got it, dudes.
