When it comes to planning the ideal party, no one knows more than Martha Stewart. So, when we had the opportunity to chat with her last month, we tried to get all of the tips we could.
PureWow recently sat down with the entrepreneur to talk about her latest partnership with BIC EZ Reach, where she and Snoop Dog designed a handful of new lighters. The new campaign spotlights the convenience of the BIC EZ Reach lighter, designed for lighting hard-to-reach places while helping to keep fingers away from the flame. During the interview, we asked the media mogul/cookbook author about the best party she’s ever thrown.
And while we thought that she would have to take time to think about it (we imagine she’s planned hundreds of parties, at least), she had an answer for us immediately: her 50th birthday. Oh, and did we mention she managed to pull it off in a home under construction?
“One of the best parties I ever had was on Lily Pond Lane in East Hampton when I had just finished construction and the house was still empty—I was buying furniture rather slowly because I didn't know what I wanted in that big house,” the cookbook author said in the interview. “I had a great big 50th birthday party and that was the most fun because we had fantastic South American music. We had the Cutchogue barbecue come and do the barbecue chicken. We had the Blue Parrot do the blue margaritas. It was quite a party.”
