Maisie Williams Bids Farewell to ‘Game of Thrones’ with an Arya Stark Tattoo
Maisie Williams has permanently linked herself to the character that made her famous, Arya Stark.
In honor of Game of Thrones, which recently wrapped filming its eighth and final season, the actress debuted a brand-new tattoo on her Instagram Story. Williams posted a photo featuring a “No One” sketch and a tattoo gun filled with red ink and wrote, “Guess who is getting a ‘No One’ tattoo?”
Shortly after, Williams confirmed that she did, in fact, get new GoT ink. The actress posted a slideshow of photos on Instagram, which features close-up shots of her new tattoos—including “No One” on the back of her neck.
The tattoo is in reference to her character, Arya, who was forced to think of herself as “no one” during her assassin training.
This isn’t the first time Williams honored GoT with a tat. In fact, the 21-year-old and her on-screen sister, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), received matching tattoos in 2016 to commemorate the day they booked their roles.
So subtle, yet so perfect. Season eight of Game of Thrones is expected to premiere sometime in 2019.
