‘Black Panther’ Star Lupita Nyong’o Channels Chadwick Boseman's ‘Rolling Stone’ Cover in Honor of Huge Box Office Weekend
Lupita Nyong’o paid tribute to her Black Panther costar and Wakandan king Chadwick Boseman in a powerful way yesterday.
On the same day that Boseman’s shirtless Rolling Stone cover dropped, Nyong’o channeled the raw energy of her character Nakia and re-created the cover in all its glory. The Oscar winner proved “imitation is the best form of flattery” and shared her breathtaking photo on social media with an encouraging message for Boseman.
Rippled abs aside, Boseman and Nyong’o are also celebrating a monumental box office weekend for Black Panther. The superhero ensemble film raked in $404 million worldwide and broke a bunch of records, including the highest-grossing opening of all time for a film in February.
All hail King T’Challa and his lady love.
