Kelly Ripa & Ryan Seacrest Weren’t on the ‘Live’ Set Today (But We Still Got a New Episode)

Another day, another pre-recorded episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan? That’s right—not only did Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest tape Thursday’s episode ahead of time, but apparently, the same went for Friday’s episode. We guess second time’s a charm...

It was revealed in a behind-the-scenes clip that today’s episode was filmed “earlier in the week.” In the video, which was shared by producers on the Live Instagram page, the co-hosts (both looking chic in their glasses) were seen making their way to their seats to begin shooting. “Today’s show is all new...but prerecorded earlier in the week,” the post’s caption read.

As we mentioned earlier, this is the second time this week that the series aired a taped episode (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday all aired live episodes as per usual.) Unfortunately, it has not been revealed why both episodes were not live but they were clearly planned for since the show organized to shoot it ahead of time. This means that after filming a normal episode earlier in the week, the team needed to stay and do it all again (twice). Looks like Ripa and Seacrest had a busy couple of days.
