Lindsay Lohan Returns to the Small Screen in Clever Super Bowl Ad for Planet Fitness

It's a Freaky Friday indeed.

Lindsay Lohan has just made her return to the screen by starring in a brand-new commercial for Planet Fitness, which will be aired during the Super Bowl on February 13. According to Variety, this will be the first time the fitness company has ever aired an ad during the major sports event, and it looks like they pulled out the big guns by recruiting Lohan.

The Mean Girls actress has remained relatively out of the spotlight for the last couple years. After producing a reality show—titled Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club—in 2019, as well as being a judge on The Masked Singer Australia in the same year, Lohan has not taken any roles besides being a guest on two episodes of Celebrity Watch Party in 2020 and providing her voice for one episode of Devil May Care in 2021.

But now, the 35-year-old actress is front and center once again, starring in a commercial alongside other celebs like William Shatner and Dennis Rodman.

In the playful clip, we see people asking, “What's gotten into Lindsay?” as she wins Jeopardy! rounds, gets restful nights of sleep and avoids paparazzi. (And being an ad for Planet Fitness, the answer is simply that she got a membership to Planet Fitness.)

This is only the beginning for Lohan, who has a lot more in store than just commercials. The Parent Trap actress will star in a new Netflix movie this coming Christmas, alongside Glee actor Chord Overstreet. Meanwhile, she told Entertainment Tonight back in 2019 that she was working on a couple new projects, including one script she was writing herself. She also just got engaged last November, to her boyfriend, Bader Shammas.

Welcome back, Lindsay. We'll be keeping an eye out for this ad on February 13.
