“Hear ye, hear ye!” Zara Tindall (that’s Princess Anne’s daughter) and her husband, Mike, have announced the name of their newborn baby and it’s fit for a princess (and a lovely tribute to Her Majesty the Queen).
A spokeswoman for the couple confirmed earlier today that they have named their second daughter Lena Elizabeth Tindall. Aww…
According to royal reporter Emily Nash, they chose the name Lena (pronounced Lay-na) simply because they liked it. And Elizabeth was chosen as a nod to the child’s great-grandmother, the queen.
The couple welcomed baby Lena last week and are also parents to 4-year-old Mia. Like her mom, dad and older sister, this newest member of the Tindall family will not have a royal title.
But just because you don’t have a royal title doesn’t mean you can’t boss around the future King of England. Here’s hoping that cool cousin Savannah Phillips teaches Lena a thing or two about playing with Prince George.
