Kate Hudson Is Engaged to Boyfriend of Five Years, Danny Fujikawa

Something must be in the air this week, because we just caught wind of *another* major celebrity engagement.

After Britney Spears dropped the surprise last night that she and her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, were engaged, now there's another impending nuptial to look forward to—Kate Hudson just revealed that she and her partner, Danny Fujikawa, are also set to tie the knot.

The announcement was shared on Hudson's Instagram account, where she posted a picture of herself and Fujikawa laughing and about to kiss while taking a beach selfie. The caption said, “Let’s go!” It also featured emojis of a groom, a bride and a chapel.

Hudson and Fujikawa's romance goes way back. The actress said in an appearance on The Talk that they have known each other for over 15 years because Fujikawa is the stepbrother of her best friends, Sara and Erin Foster. She said, “In terms of family, I’ve known his family forever...To have that connection is really powerful.”

However, the pair didn't start dating until 2016, which Hudson revealed on Instagram a year later, saying, “A year ago today Danny took me on a hike and what I thought was just a hike with a family friend turned very quickly into an unexpected first date.” The couple have been together ever since, and they even share a child together, named Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa.

Hudson's best friends showed their excitement in the comments, with Sara Foster also revealing that the couple's been holding onto this secret for a while. She said, “Whoa. It’s official. Not gonna lie, been a hard secret to keep. I may have slipped and told a few people.” Erin Foster added, “Finally we are officially sisters!!”

Congrats to the happy couple!
