Kaley Cuoco just confirmed that The Big Bang Theory finale will be unlike any other episode.
The 33-year-old actress recently documented the show’s final table read on Instagram and confirmed it’s one for the books. It all started when Cuoco shared a photo of the final page of the script, which reads, “End of series,” and captioned the post, “Yea, didn’t sleep.”
She followed up with a pic of several used tissues and wrote, “Prepare yourselves…for a finale that has truly given me a loss for words. Our whole universe…”
The final table read comes just one month after Cuoco sat down for an interview with E!’s Daily Pop and revealed they’re tweaking production in honor of the last episode. Instead of simply filming in front of a live studio audience, they’re going to pretape the installment.
“We’re actually going to pre-shoot the whole thing,” she said. “So, we’ll have shot it, and then we will have an audience taping.” *Cue the canned laughter*
Cuoco went on to say that it all comes down to the tears that will likely ensue, adding, “That was probably because they knew I’d be crying the entire time. So we still want the audience experience…so we’re gonna still do the audience, but we will have taped it and shot it beforehand, so if the tears come unexpectedly, then that’s just what’s going to happen, because I guarantee you it’s going to happen.”
The actress, who plays Penny on BBT, also confirmed the finale is designed to go “out with a bang.” She continued, “I hate saying that, but it’s kinda true. We wanted to go out on top.”
Bazinga! The Big Bang Theory airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m on CBS.
