Jennifer Aniston & Adam Sandler Are Reuniting for New Netflix Film ‘Murder Mystery’
The Just Go with It stars are reuniting for a classic case of who done it with the very matter-of-fact titled film Murder Mystery. The story reportedly “follows a New York cop (Sandler) and his wife (Aniston), who become prime suspects in the murder of an elderly billionaire while vacationing in Europe.”
The duo have allegedly been looking for an opportunity to work together again following the massive success of their 2011 comedy, which earned $103 million domestically and $215 million globally.
Murder Mystery marks Aniston’s first dip into the Netflix pool.She has, however, been working on her highly-anticipated Apple series with Reese Witherspoon, in addition to The Yellow Birds, a war drama and Dumplin, a musical comedy.
The upcoming film is Sandler’s sixth feature film collaboration with Netflix; he also starred in The Ridiculous Six, The Do-Over, Andy Wexler and the critically-acclaimed Noah Baumbach film The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected).
Details about Murder Mystery’s release date have yet to be released, but Kyle Newacheck (Workaholics) is set to direct the film and James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man films) penned the script.
Murder, mystery, a billionaire, Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler? Count us in.
