Jamie Lee Curtis Talks the Return of Her ‘Freaky Friday’ Costar Lindsay Lohan: ‘She's a Great Talent’

Lindsay Lohan is making her big return to acting, and no one is more excited for her than her former costar, Jamie Lee Curtis. The actress, who played Lohan's mom in the hit 2003 comedy Freaky Friday, recently sat down for a conversation on People (The TV Show!), where she was asked if she had seen Lohan's Super Bowl ad.

“Yes,” Curtis responded before adding, “I'm just happy that she's happy.” The iconic scream queen then went on to praise Lohan, saying, “She is a great talent, and she's had a lot on her plate at a very young age. It seems like she is settling into a really happy domestic life—she's engaged.”

Lohan announced that she was engaged to her boyfriend, Bader Shammas, back in November with an Instagram post that read, “My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love.”

Curtis also revealed that she and Lohan have remained in touch throughout the years, complementing the 35-year-old's ability to laugh at herself with her Super Bowl ad. “We're in contact, and the fact that she can poke fun at herself a little [means] we can all poke fun at ourselves, believe me. Show business is very difficult, and being in front of the tabloid press is very difficult, it's really brutal. So God bless her.”

In addition to the primetime Super Bowl ad, Lohan recently nabbed a leading role in an upcoming Netflix holiday rom-com. Do we sense a Freaky Friday 2 in our future? We'll be keeping our fingers crossed!
