Chrissy Metz is setting the record straight once and for all about her off-screen relationship status.
The This Is Us star, 40, recently did a virtual appearance on SiriusXM’s The Covino & Rich Show. During the interview, Metz revealed that she’s not engaged to her boyfriend, Bradley Collins, despite popular belief. The actress explained the ring she’s wearing on that finger was a gift from her beau, but it doesn’t represent a future wedding.
“Let’s be very clear. Let me—can I show you guys the ring? This is the ring,” she said. “Bradley bought it for me. I’m so glad that you’re clearing this up. Thank you.”
The ring features a honeycomb design, which pays tribute to her bee obsession. Metz admitted that she was shopping for someone else when she stumbled upon the must-have piece, adding, “So, we went crystal shopping for a friend—and I also love crystals, as well—but I was like, ‘Wait, this is a ring that he bought me for Christmas.’”
She continued, “Anyway, thanks for clearing it up. It’s a honeycomb ring, and I love it very much…but it’s not an engagement ring.”
Metz went on to say that she has no idea where the engagement rumors originated. “I love bees. I’m like, ‘Who thought that this was an engagement ring, first of all?’” she continued. “So, it’s just so funny that they run with it.”
Metz started dating Collins in 2020 after they met on Bumble. (Yes, you read that right.) A few months later, the This Is Us actress made their relationship Instagram official by sharing a slideshow of never-before-seen photos.
Case closed (at least for now).
