Forget fun-size Almond Joys and jack-o’-lanterns. A new set of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald photos just dropped to get us in the Halloween spirit.

In one slideshow (courtesy of Entertainment Weekly)Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) points his wand at something just off screen while old-timey hazmat suits hang in the background. Perhaps he’s about to go tête-à-tête with a mythical beast?

Redmayne dished up details about the much-anticipated film in an interview with EW, saying, “The script is labyrinthian. It’s like you’re going down this maze and [J.K. Rowling] is weaving the stories together with such intricacy. Along the way these connections to Harry Potter and secrets are falling at your feet.” Sounds like our idea of a good time.

Redmayne assures viewers the film is completely worth the wait: “I got to the end and my jaw dropped,” he admitted. “There was one thing I didn’t see coming.”

Judging from this snap of Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) either on trial or in a room of his supporters, Redmayne’s promise seems to ring true.

Depp expressed his excitement about the film to the publication too, saying, “It’s good to take the audience on a ride they’re not necessarily expecting, yet with great respect to the world they’ve come to understand and know. The Potter fans…know that world inside and out. I hope to give them something they haven’t seen before.”

We couldn’t be readier for November 16 when Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald premieres.
