If you’re itching to travel somewhere but keep finding reasons to spend that money elsewhere, then we highly recommend you watch Ewan McGregor’s first-ever Super Bowl ad, which pays tribute to past game day commercials.

The 50-year-old actor has teamed up with Expedia for a brand-new commercial, which highlights the importance of getting out and exploring new places. The best part? McGregor sat down for an exclusive interview with PureWow to discuss the Super Bowl ad and explain why the commercial’s message spoke to him.

“I’ve never been asked to do a Super Bowl ad before, and it’s fun to be part of that for the first time. Some of the best experiences of my life have been through travel, it means so much to me,” he told PureWow. “I’m happy to be encouraging people to pursue meaningful experiences out in the world.”

McGregor also revealed that the ad features several familiar locations from past Super Bowl commercials. He continued, “I loved how the team paid tribute to past iconic Super Bowl ads by peppering in different production sets in the background. You’ll have to see how many you can spot.”

During the Super Bowl on February 13, Expedia will hold a special real-time sweepstakes, called “Travel the Ads,” where up to 20 lucky winners will earn credit towards their next trip. To enter, all you need to do is follow Expedia on Twitter. Then during the game, retweet one of Expedia’s corresponding posts and use the hashtag #TravelTheAds.

Let’s see how many easter eggs we can spot, shall we?
