It’s Emma Stone’s movie, and she’ll cry if she wants to. Well, that was the actress’s motto while filming her upcoming period drama, The Favourite.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Stone dished on her new movie and revealed that it was an emotionally draining process. Although she didn’t give much away, she admitted she broke down on set after filming a graphic scene.
“Well, just in the end—I don’t want to give anything away—but I have to be a little bit aggressive in the end with a bunny,” she said. “I cried my eyes out for about an hour.”
Don’t worry, “the bunny was totally fine,” she confirmed before adding, “They sort of talked me through it and how it would be a gentle and OK thing but…no it’s very, very upsetting. Any idea of ever harming an animal in any way is crushing to me.”
The Favourite will hit theaters on November 23.
