As far as parenting trends go, this one takes the cake: Parents are actually posting "Don't Touch My Baby" signs on their car seats as a reminder to strangers (or touchy-feely in-laws) who approach and want to pinch their infant's cheeks.
The reason? Cold and flu season is approaching, and nervous moms and dads don't want their baby to catch any unnecessary germs. But is this taking things a step too far? Yes, baby's immune system takes time to develop, but some parents on social media are crying out: "How did we all survive?"
Sure, it should go without saying that you shouldn't touch a baby without asking. But the fact that these signs are actually being sold in droves on Etsy is proof of a new parenting approach to warding off bacteria and germs.
Our opinion? To each their own. But it's also A-OK in our book to forgo the sign and tell your handsy (and sniffly) cousin-in-law, "Back off!"
