Disney Just Revealed a New ‘Aladdin’ Trailer During the Grammys, and It's the First Look at Will Smith as the Blue Genie

Jumpin’ Jafar! Disney just made all our magic lamp dreams come true by unveiling a new full-length Aladdin trailer during tonight’s Grammy Awards.

We finally get a glimpse of Will Smith as the all-blue Genie—and boy, oh boy is that a lot of body paint.

Mena Massoud will pull on some harem pants and portray the titular character in the upcoming film. Massoud will be accompanied by the lovable Will Smith (Hitch, a billion other movies), who will take on Robin Williams’s iconic (and hilarious) Genie role. Actress Naomi Scott (Power Rangers) will play Jasmine, the raven-haired Princess of Agrabah.

The last trailer we got was only a teaser, and while the CGI was incredible, we’ve been holding our collective breath for a glimpse at Smith as Genie. We also saw some cast photos in December, including the Genie, but not in the all-blue makeup we get to see him in during the new trailer and movie.

The film hits the big screen on May 24, 2019. ’Til then, we’ll be making at least one of our wishes about time travel.
