Say goodbye to the Diet Coke you’ve come to know and depend on, and say hello to four new flavors and a new can design.
The beverage behemoth is trading in its stout cans for a sleek new minimalist design and adding new flavors: Ginger Lime, Feisty Cherry, Zesty Blood Orange and Twisted Mango.
Rafael Acevedo, Diet Coke group director, says the makeover is an attempt to draw in more millennials, who are easily swayed by trendy fonts and packaging (said the the self-effacing millennial). Acevedo said in a statement, “We’re modernizing what has made Diet Coke so special for a new generation. Millennials are now thirstier than ever for adventures and new experiences, and we want to be right by their side.”
Purists need not worry. The original flavor will stay exactly the same. These fancy new cans will hit supermarkets near you later this month.
