Gal Gadot, Letitia Wright & Rose Leslie Are Joining Forces for a New Movie

Wonder Woman, Game of Thrones’s Ygritte and Black Panther’s Shuri walk onto a movie set—sounds like the setup to a strange joke, right? In actuality, it’s a fact: Gal Gadot, Rose Leslie and Letitia Wright, among many others, are teaming up for a brand-new movie.

Similar to Kenneth Branagh’s first Agatha Christie endeavor, Murder on the Orient Express, the acclaimed director and actor’s upcoming Death on the Nile features a star-studded cast.

In addition to Gadot, Leslie and Wright, Branagh will also star, as will Tom Bateman (who reprises his role of Bouc from Murder on the Orient Express), Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Armie Hammer, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo and Jennifer Saunders. Yep, you’ve got your superheroes, your Oscar nominees and even some pranksters.

The adaptation of Christie’s 1937 novel was penned by Michael Green (Murder on the Orient Express) and will center on “Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian adventure on the glamorous rivers steamer [as it] descends into a terrifying search for a murderer when an idyllic honeymoon is shattered by violent deaths. This sinister tale of obsessive love and its murderous consequences plays out in an epic landscape of danger and foreboding, with enough shocking twists and turns to leave audiences unsettled and guessing until the final, shocking denouement.” Sounds pretty good to us.

Production on Death of the Nile just began in London and Egypt and the release date is set for October 9, 2020.

Just one year to go until we get to see this superstar cast on the big screen.
