Sure, I’m far more excited to see Colton Underwood’s journey to find love on The Bachelor than I was for Arie Luyendyk Jr. (No offense.) But one question still remains: Will the show’s first-ever virgin star forgo the fantasy suite?
I won’t have a definite answer until the season airs in early 2019, but I have a feeling Underwood will do something “dramatic” (according to Chris Harrison) and go against the Bachelor tradition.
You see, the 26-year-old already expressed hesitation about an overnight date during the hometown episode on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette. Although she eliminated him before it was an issue, I did get a glimpse of his tight-knit familial relationship, which contributed to my conclusion that the fantasy suite will likely take a one-year hiatus.
Besides, anyone who is that open with their mom about their sex life (or lack thereof) will probably want to make her proud, meaning the women will have to find other ways to get Underwood off-camera.
Let the games begin. Season 22 of The Bachelor premieres on Monday, January 1, on ABC.
