We Finally Have a Trailer for Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell’s ‘The Christmas Chronicles 2’

On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer and Vixen: Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are hopping back in their sleigh for another fun-filled Christmas movie. And we finally have a trailer.

Netflix announced last year that the longtime couple will return for a sequel to The Christmas Chronicles this upcoming holiday season. In celebration of the news, the streaming platform also released a first-look photo of the couple all done up in their Santa and Mrs. Claus attire. However, now that the holidays are rapidly approaching, Netflix has shared the official trailer and details on the movie, including a release date. In short, in the forthcoming Netflix original, aptly titled The Christmas Chronicles 2, Kate Pierce is now a teenager who’s unexpectedly reunited with Santa Claus when a troublemaker named Belsnickel threatens to destroy the joy of Christmas forever. Yikes.

Netflix’s official synopsis reads, “It’s been two years since siblings Kate and Teddy Pierce saved Christmas, and a lot has changed. Kate, now a cynical teenager, is reluctantly spending Christmas in Cancun with her mom’s new boyfriend and his son Jack. Unwilling to accept this new version of her family, Kate decides to run away. But when a mysterious, magical troublemaker named Belsnickel threatens to destroy the North Pole and end Christmas for good, Kate and Jack are unexpectedly pulled into a new adventure with Santa Claus.”

The film stars Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn, Jahzir Bruno, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Julian Dennison and Tyrese Gibson, with Judah Lewis and Darby Camp.
