Carey Mulligan is opening up about the onslaught of messages she received after her husband, Marcus Mumford’s, viral yawn at the royal wedding.

It all started when the couple attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s nuptials, which were broadcast all over the world. During the ceremony, cameras panned to show the Mumford & Sons singer letting out a big yawn, and it went viral. (Surprise, surprise.)

On a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Mulligan discussed the iconic moment and revealed they didn’t expect to get airtime. “We were convinced there were so many absurdly famous people that we were not going to be on camera at all,” she said.

Well, they were wrong and didn’t find out until after the wedding was over. She added, “Of course, it finishes, and we’re allowed to turn our phones back on, and we have, like, 15,000 messages going, like, ‘Marcus, you yawned on TV!’”

Although we don’t know why Mumford was so tired during the wedding of the year, Mulligan admitted they “hustled to the church,” so maybe we can blame jet lag?

Guess it’s best to take a pre-wedding nap. Lesson learned.
